Before you go to an unknown city, as big as this one, you have to be prepared just a little bit. We saw so many places that we have to have some experience by now. I really enjoy travelling and it’s a pleasure for me to be in the unknown city. Before you go somewhere you haven’t been yet, you have to know a few things. You don’t have to be completely prepared, but just have a small plan in case something goes wrong.

Before the trip, I always look for tourists spots in particular cities, such as churches and museums so I don’t have to stand in those long rows and crowds before I can see the building from inside. If I have an intention to go inside and see museums I always buy tickets online – sometimes it’s cheaper, and you avoid crowds. That’s why we decided to buy a tourist card for Rome.
Every big city has a tourist card with which you can visit different museums, use it for public transportation and see different places. For Rome, you can buy an OMNIA Card for 72hours. With this one you get to visit 2 big museums for free by your choice in Rome and Vatican, free entry in Vatican museum and Sistine Chapel, fast entry in St. Peters Basilica, you can use Metro, Hop on-Hop off busses and tramway for free, and buy tickets for other museums with discounts. If you are staying for a few days and intend to see the whole history in Rome it’s definitely a good idea to buy this one. It costs 102€ for adult and 72€ for a child to 9 years. I know we used it really well and see the best out of this city. Someday I will live there, I promised myself I will.
